Armenistis Beach, Sithonia

Armenistis is one of the most famous beaches in Sithonia.

If to be more precise, it isn’t just a beach, it is a huge camping area like a town in the open-air.  In Armenistis camping  you can find a cinema, restaurant, café and bars, supermarket, sports and children’s playgrounds. One can stay there in their own caravan or rent a caravan, mobile house or a bed in the tent youth hostel. There are different parties and discos and animation programs for children in this camping,

It is very interesting to walk around the camping area and just to enjoy the various happenings.

This camping is famous for its beautiful beach. Besides the campers who stay there there are greek and foreign visitors who come for the day. The beach can be overcrowded on weekends and there are not so many sunbeds at the beach bar, that’s why it is better to have your own beach equipment otherwise you don’t want to stay in the shade of the trees which are not close to the beach.

The entrance for the camping includes a fee that gives you access to the amenities of the camping and a beverage. There is a free of charge access to the beach from the secondary road that is accessible by walking. Daily visitors can use the beach with their own equipment, alternatively they can rent umbrellas from the bar.

Armenistis beach is a nice gulf surrounded by mountains. There is a view of the mount Athos with its monasteries from the beach.  The beach is wide with sand and small white pebbles which becomes deep after few meters of entering the sea.

There are sport and children’s playgrounds and other entertainments near the beach of the camping. The camping area is huge and has a lot of trees,  where people can take cover from the sun.

If you drive around Sithonia in Halkidiki enjoying its nature Armenistis beach  is a must for visiting.
