Marios Frangoulis’ concert in Nea Moudania

The concert of the popular Greek singer Marios Frangoulis took place on the 14th of July in the open theater of Nea Moudania.

Marios Frangoulis was born in Republic of Zimbabwe by a Greek family. When he was 4 years old he was sent to Athens, Greece and lived with his aunt and her family. He graduated from  the Musical Conservatory in Greece as a violin player and then moved to London where entered the School of Music and Drama «Guildhall» where he started his carrier as a singer and actor. Then he continued his education in Italy and the USA.

In 1991 Andrew Lloyd Webber invited Marios Frangoulis to play the role of Raul in the musical The Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty’s Theater. Marios Frangoulis was the first Greek singer who performed in La Scala in Milan.  Also he took part in the  Olympic Games opening ceremony in Athens. Marios Frangoulis often sings on the stages of famous theaters and halls all over the world and is one of the most popular singers in his country.

Marios Frangoulis concert in Nea Moudania was one of the most significant events of this summer. Many Greek people who are fond of Marios’ musical collection came to his concert from all over Halkidiki in a huge open theater which is located next to the sea with fantastic sea view. The concert finished after midnight with great success.
