Residence permit for 5 years for all buyers whose properties are worth more than  250, 000 euro in Greece

After many years of negotiations and talks the law about receiving  a 5 year residence permit in Greece for all buyers of properties (domestic,commercial, tourist)  has been passed in Greece. For this new law to be in effect,  the property which will be bought has to be over 250,000euro. The law is effective as of 18/04/2013. Besides the owner,  all the members of the owner’s family can receive this 5 year  residence permit.

This permit doesn’t give you the right to work in Greece.

Greek authorities plan to decrease the tax for buying  properties in the future.
