Now stores will be open on Sundays throughout the year and have 4 sales periods in Greece
Freedom of choice for all small stores and shops up to 250 square meters to be open on Sundays on a voluntaraly basis thoughout the year, provide the settings announced by Minister of Development, Competitiveness, Infrastructure, Transport and Networks Minister Costis Hatzidakis and the Secretary, Mr. Thanasis Garlic.
Other larger stores and shopping centers in Greece, regardless of square meters, can operate seven Sundays of the year. More specifically, this category of stores will be open two Sundays before Christmas, one before Easter and the other four, one Sunday before the 4 discount-sale periods.
In addition to the winter and summer discounts, two more sale periods in Greece are created, one in the first week of November and one in the first week of May (before it were only 2 periods – in January and Audust). For this year’s holiday season, all stores will remain open except for Sunday, December 23 and Sunday, December 30 before the New Year.
Now residents and tourists can enjoy shopping in Greece 7 days a week!
